USCIS Announcement for Reducing Backlogs, Expanding Premium Processing, and Providing Relief to Work Permit Holders

Major update from USCIS! The agency announced a final rule to reduce backlogs, expand premium processing, and provide relief to work permit holders.

USCIS is prioritizing making EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW) cases premium processing eligible in fiscal year (FY) 2022. Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) will also be made premium processing eligible. By the end of FY 2023, USCIS aims to reduce processing times for EADs and Advance Parole documents to three months.
